Hello, everyone. I am very happy to have finally become an NAIWE member. As a new member, I’d like to share a bit about myself.
If you’ve heard that engineers or technical people are terrible writers, then hopefully I can prove that idea wrong. I am an engineer turned writer. Over the course of my career, I have worked with many businesses on a variety of projects where written communications were an integral part of each project.
I have over 20 years of progressive work experience in manufacturing and higher education. This work has given me the insight needed to write about a variety of technical topics.
I also have experience working and partnering with Human Resources personnel regarding recruiting, training and workforce development. This work has given me the insight needed to write about self-help topics, especially those relating to leadership skills and professional development.
Accordingly, I have found success in leveraging my background in manufacturing, training and consulting with a love of writing. Due to my work history before becoming a full-time writer, I am adept at writing on a variety of topics. You can preview samples of my writing on my Portfolio page.
I look forward to being an active NAIWE member.
